my feet in a strange land

Taken an hour ago, right after the tornado siren had quieted down. I still can't believe the size of the hailstones around here. (If that skirt looks crappy it's because I made it myself).

I was reading in the sunshine earlier, and left my coffee cup out. It caught about an inch and a half of rainwater. I think my evening plans are off now :/

I have a big post about films and videogames cooking, but it is still a mess. It may yet emerge. Til then, enjoy the weather.

Welcome to the south! :D

Have you been in the pouring rain while the sun is shining bright, yet? That's another weird (but fun) experience!

The first time I endured a southern hail, scared the hell outta me, so you are doing fine.

I love hard rain and other filthy weather. These guys have to persuade me not to go play outdoors when the tornado sirens are going off. So the hail was 'Wow!' rather than scary!

I'm not sure that I have had the hard rain/bright sun thing yet - Georgia gets most of its rain in June, though, so maybe I soon will. (I lived here in the summer of 2005, and there was one time when we'd run from our car to the shelter of a comic shop in a torrent of rain, and I stood by the window saying "Wtf is this?" and comic shop guy said "We just call it 'June'".)
